I honestly think Greenwood is exactly what most American sports bars wish they were. A two-floor hub dedicated to sport, housing over thirty screens, servers that can pour the perfect pint, and most of all, a quintessentially British feel to it.
It’s fair to say that venues in London have notoriously suffered from the midweek draught of customers in recent years, brought on by a higher cost of living. But walk into Greenwood on a Champions League or Europa League night and the place is guaranteed to be packed out.
If you don’t have a reservation for a table at least a week in advance, good luck to you. That said, they still accept walk-ins and rarely turn people away.
Although busy, Greenwood never feels overcrowded. The separation between standing fans and those sitting down for some wings after a day of work near Victoria is almost seamless.
They’ve really got the perfect system worked out, and we’ll continue to come here for the foreseeable future.
